Rudy

RUDY

Rudy's foster home is moving!! He is such a people loving dog, his spirit would be crushed if he had to go into a kennel to be boarded.  I am really hoping that somebody will see how special he is and want to adopt him. He needs to be placed locally in Southern California, no long distance adoptions. Application and adoption fee.

Rudy is the most magnificent 4 year Chow Rottweiler mix. He is absolutely stunning to look at and everyone comments on his great beauty.  But the real attraction is Rudy's loving and gentle nature. Everyone who meets Rudy falls in love with him but nobody seems to be able to adopt him because of his size. Rudy weighs in at about 110 pounds.  He is housebroken and has impeccable house manners.

Rudy adores people and walks up to everyone with a big "smile", wagging his little stump of a tail. He seems to be a kid magnet-kids climb all over him and he just loves the attention. (I would not place him in a home with small kids because of his size but he is absolutely fine to be around visiting toddlers) Rudy is very low maintenance. He is so happy just to hang out and be around people.

He loves to go for walks but he is really not high energy at all, after about 20 minutes of walking he kind of poops out and just wants to sit and snuggle. He is obsessed with playing fetch and is very good about retrieving and giving the ball back. (perhaps a bit of retriever in him?)  He is crazy about toys and likes to walk around with a squeaky toy in his mouth.  Rudy is truly a gentle giant and would be a wonderful, loving, well behaved companion. He needs a yard but he does not need a large yard-he mostly likes to play fetch or just lie in the grass and enjoy the breeze. He is very cuddly and loves to have his belly rubbed.

His only fault? He is not good with cats, small dogs or big male dogs. He plays nicely with large female dogs. He would be fine as an only dog or as a friend to a large female dog.

There must be somebody who needs a great big, lovable well behaved dog like Rudy to love.

Please email yep6cats@aol.com if you are interested in fostering or adopting Rudy.
